Spring-Summer fashion trends

I  watched New York fashion week very closely this year, I went through alot of weird yet wonderful looks and then decided on my top 10 most wearable spring summer trends from this seasons cat walk. For each look I have found a highstreet/ online version that is reasonably priced for everyday people like you and me along with a little review of each high street product.

Shown: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Milly, Tracy Reese

The first one is: Bomber jackets, these sporty style jackets are very in at the moment they are very casual but if worn correctly can be worn for a simple, stylish look.

I really like this bomber jacket, it is quilted and is a beautiful pastel green colour, it is only £20 and is just an amazing stylish clothing item!

Shown: j.crew, Rachel Zoe, Clover Canyon

Collarless coats, these are another cute way that you can cover up when it gets abit chilly outside or as I live in England everyday so you don’t get cold

This doesn’t look particularly appealing online but in person it is so nice and super soft. This is on special for only £18.

Shown:  BCBG Max Azria, Rebecca Minkoff, Thakoon

Cropped jackets : these were very popular , these are super cute a nice way to cover up and add some more layers in the colder evenings of the spring or summer. They come in loads of different colours and designs and can go with any outfit, whether that’s a dress or you everyday go to jeans.

This is £48 which is quite expensive but as it is from topshop it is good quality and durable.
Shown: Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Rebecca Taylor

Pastel colours are so in at the moment, whether it’s a lilac or a tiffany and co green/blue they appeared in almost every show on the new York runway from items such as dresses, jackets and accessories.

this blouse in Pastel pink is £25.99 but is sheer and lightweight, the long sleeves do not make the blouse hot.

Shown: Cynthia Rowley, Clover Canyon, Calvin Klein

Shift blouse: these are almost like a dressy version of a t-shirt, the shift blouse is easy but so much more sophisticated. The near elbow length sleeve and boxy silhouette keep the look flattering and versatile.
I haven’t bought anything from this online store however some people I know have and they say it is reliable. It is  £35  and the  blouse is in the monochrome style and is super cute.

Shown: Alexander Wang, Costello Tagliapetra, Altuzarra

Boyish shirts: This crisp mens wear inspired dress shirt enjoys a makeover with cool contrasting colours and textured collars and cuffs. This design is super cute for a formal situation such as work.
instead of finding a womens shirt that looks like a mens why don’t you just buy a mens shirt or steal one from a loved one and experiment with looks with the help of this video!
Shown:  J.Crew, Costello Tagliapietra, BLK DNM

Striped trousers: the stripe smartes up with tuxedo detailing on these sporty meets sophisticated tailored trousers. To keep the look modern and refined opt for a stream lined silhouette. Pair the trousers with a casual non button down top. The verticle stripe adds the illution of height so it is perfect for those perfect petite girlies.

These trousers are made in a stretch weave with side pockets and a concealed zip at the side, it also has a loose fit. These are £24.99
Shown: Trina Turk, Altuzarra, Mara Hoffman

Sweaters: spring knits are next seasons staple item. Whether its boldly printed or inventely cut, this seasonal sweater is an easy chic piece to pair with tailored pants, flirty skirts, blousy shorts or to just throw on over a light dress .

this jumper is super cute and totally on trend with the pastel colour, the bow is really girly and the detailed back is so on trend.

Shown: Christian Siriano, Alice+Olivia, Proenza Schouler

Tea length skirts: while the midiskirt may be the ultimate transition piece, the tea length, between the midi and maxi length skirts. The lady like hemline ca be just as modern and mini, pair it with a cropped top to offset the length (and it makes you look taller).

this doesnt say a tea length skirt however when worn it is he tea length skirt length, the design is very summery and floral. For £12 it is a bargin!

BCBG Max Azria, Trina Turk, Rosie Assoulin

Wide-leg trousers: they are easy to wear, super cute, billowy wide leg trousers made a huge showing on the spring runways. These aren’t just for six foot models they actually elongate your frame!

these are light weight and are perfect for the summer, the design is super cute and floral, the daisys are girly and stylish. These asos trousers are £28 but I love them so much, I think these will be very popular and they are new out so grab yours before they are sold out.

I hope this helped you in picking out some new wardrobe essentials for this season, these looks can help you experiment out of your comfort zone but look absolutley fabulous, good luck and have an amazing season xx
