How To Paint Your Nails Like A Pro

Not everyone is born with the talent for painting nails perfectly. When I first started painting my nails it used to go all over my fingers and cleaning it up would take even longer than painting my nails. I am aware that many people actually also struggle with this. for me it comes as easy to me like a second nature. Now a few years on doing all the nail art with the tiniest brushes painting my nails just one colour is so simple and easy.  Here are my top tips and how I paint my nails properly!

Start off with a clean nail, make sure it is oil free and put a base coat on first. This prevents staining or chipping. Let that dry properly. The most important thing is to make sure you have just got the right amount of nail polish, you don't want to much or to little. A tip I use is when you lift the brush out wipe it on the sides until it does not drip off the brush but not to much that you can see the bristles of the brush.

Place a drop of nail polish in the centre of the nail just above the cuticle. carefully spread the dot down towards the cuticle. now move your brush upwards towards the tip and keep going till the tip.

Go back to the base and spread it round the curve then carry on upwards towards the tip, a top tip is to do it slowing in one stroke so you can get as close to the end of the nail but not onto the skin.

Repeat the last steps on the other side of the nail. If necessary apply a 2nd coat then finish off with a top coat.

So simple and so easy, I hope these steps will help you to paint your nails like a pro!
