Some brands I tried where quite expensive but they were good quality , however I found that when looking at cheaper options that Boots natural collection was by far the best value for money.
At only £1.99 each for every item it was a total bargain!
I didn't buy every item in the collection because I found that you didn't need it all to get a look that is perfect for any occasion all year round for a very cheap price.
Instead of using a foundation I opted for a tinted moisturiser, in the shade fair, as I have pale skin. It doesn't come in many shades so it didn't match my skin colour completely, but as it is a tinted moisturiser you only need to put on a very thin layer. It is simple to apply with either your fingers, a brush, or a sponge, it goes on very smoothly and gives a very natural finish. At £1.99 it is good value!
This cover up cream is in the shade fair. It matches the tinted moisturiser very nicely, it covers up imperfections very easily, I found that the easiest way to apply it is by using the lip gloss like brush dab a little on the intended area and tap lightly with one finger to evenly spread the cream around the area and it blends in very evenly. It is a very creamy concealer and works wonders when covering up spots and blemishes, even covering up dark circles and shadows under your eyes, I use this every single morning, it makes me look more awake and ready for the day. At £1.99 I love it!
As you can see I have used a lot of this pressed powder, it is in the shade cool, the brush is not from boots, I got it from Primark but any brush of a similar type will do. It sets your foundation really well however in order for it to reduce shine all day you do need to reapply it. It goes on very smoothly and gives you a very natural look at £1.99 I don't think you can do any better.
Sun-tint bronzing peals, the little balls are different colours and when mixed together and applied to the face it really gives you a sun kissed look, it is really good for contouring, for this I think a soft brush is better as the balls can break. Be careful when using it as I found that the balls seemed to escape and depending on where you doing your make up they can stain the floor if trodden into the carpet, apart from that it gives you a very natural sun kissed look and would be perfect in the summer. £1.99 just amazing.
I bought two different mascaras from the collection, the first one I bought was the lash care mascara, it is a clear mascara. On the boots website it says:
"Your lashes are exposed to the same environmental stresses as the rest of your body, use this Natural Collection Lash Care Mascara to help protect you lashes and keep them beautiful"
I think that the description is perfect, if I am not going out I put this clear mascara on without even thinking it is part of my every day routine now, it makes my lashes look so much better and matched with the other mascara I bought my lashes look incredible.
The other mascara I got was the lash length mascara in black, it isn't thick and gloppy and I really like the brush, it goes on evenly and it is easy to get to the corner lashes with the fine tip, doing your bottom lashes is really easy with this mascara as the brush is quite thin, it isn't a water proof one but I stands up against water really well surprisingly.
As you can see the mixture of these two mascaras made my lashes look really nice and I have had tuns of compliments, I have got naturally long eye lashes but they looked even longer with this mascara so I think even if you have shorter lashes they will still look good, At £1.99 each you cant go wrong I don't know why you wouldn't buy them!
The last thing I bought was the juicy lip gloss in raspberry ripple. I was a bit disappointed with this product, the colour in the tube is dark however when applied it hardly has a colour, it makes my lips look very shiny though, but I can use a lip balm for that but at £1.99 I would use it again.
