DIY Distressed Jeans

Distressed jeans are all the range at the moment and some of the jeans out there are absolutely beautiful however some of them have a horrible price tag. I went to Primark and bought a pair of £7 and decided to make my own distressed jeans. Keep reading to find out how I made them.

Step 1: Find an old pair of jeans or a new cheap pair incase it goes wrong.
Step 2: Put on the jeans and mark with a pen where you want the cuts to be (dont worry if yo do it                   wrong the pen should come off when you wash the jeans if you accidently mark wrong)
Step 3: Take the jeans off and place something hard inside the legs so it is easier to cut, i used a                       coaster but stiff cardboard would do it.
Step 4: Cut the top line, the bottom and then 1 or 2 inbetween
Step 5: This is where it can get a bit fiddly, using a pair of tweezers you want to try and pull the blue               strands away, once you get it started it should be easier.
Step 6: Keep pulling away the blue strands until you have your desired look.
Step 7: Repeat steps 4-6 on the other leg, i did two on this leg but you can place the sections any                     where you want.
Step 8: When finished place the jeans in the washing machine and wash them following the                             directions on the label, this will add a better effect to the edges.
Step 9: Enjoy your DIY distressed jeans

Hope you liked this little tutorial I was really proud of them and the first day I wore them I got multiple compliments. If you make these yourself send me a picture on twitter or tag me on Instagram I will follow , retweet and favourite on twitter and like, follow on repost on Instagram.
