Dreams and Life Goals

Recently I was having a conversation with my friend Paul about the future. We started comparing our dreams and life goals. It dawned on me that everyone has dreams whether they are big or small.

I think it’s important for everyone to have goals. Look back at the things you did and the things you’re planning to do next, would they mean anything if you died today?  Having dreams and aspirations reminds you of what’s really important so you can act on them.

Most of my dreams I won’t achieve any time soon. They are not for the near future as for the next couple of years I have my studies to worry about. Education wise I am not sure whether university is my sort of thing, I will definitely stay on and do my A levels to keep my options open as I’m not set on a particular career path at the moment but I will have to see where my life takes me.

I follow a page on twitter (@ThatBucketList) where they post cute pictures that are on peoples bucket lists. This made me realise that I defiantly want to go travelling some where as many of the ideas you can’t really do in England. Ever since I was little I have wanted to live in America, now I am older that dream is still alive, whether it’s for a few months or a year I think that it would be good for me. To move away from my family and start a new life with roles and responsibilities just makes me excited for the future and it’s just a shame that I have to wait.

Another friend of mine has just got back from volunteering in Tanzania, she had such an amazing time and I am obsessed with her pictures and hearing about it. For me doing something selfless for other people sounds amazing and it’s defiantly something I would consider as a life goal for me. There are a wide range of charities and organisations that lead these sort of expeditions and volunteering trips, if any of you guys have any websites that you think would be helpful for me reaching this goal I would be very thankful.
As I said most of my dreams are to do with travelling and by doing that I will achieve many minor goals like, buy my first car, live by myself or with roommates, do more charity work and be more of an outdoors person.

I set out to write a really inspirational post about goals and aspirations but i have realized that your dreams are already known to you, everyday you are one step closer to achieving your goals what ever scale it is. if you are focused and actually want to achieve them then they will happen, if its realistic then enjoy your journey, the destination will be great but so is the journey, so dont base your whole life on achieving huge goals live everyday as it comes but aim towards the future as like a guide you don't always have to go straight towards it, you can always take a detour.

If you guys have any cool life goals or dreams you would like to share don’t be afraid to share them in the comments and don’t forget to follow me on here on bloglovin it would mean a lot, the links will be somewhere on my page. Also why don’t you go and check out my social media links.

Bye you guys love you xx

P.S: Thanks Paul for the idea
