How to: Nail Wraps

Nail wraps are a method of decorating nailed used as an alternative to polish. they are made of thin plastic or vinyl. they are self adhesive and can last up to 2 weeks. The application can be done at home or at a salon. For me nail wraps are the easiest type of nail art there is, there is no painting and there isn't any difficult tricks involved all you need is a  nail file and nail wraps. There are so many different nail wraps out there from different companies and you can get them from a whole variety of shops. Some nail wraps have to be applied using a different method, this method is not the one where you use a hair dryer. These are the nail wraps you apply using a nail file or emery board.

Instead of using nail wraps on all the fingers i just put them on the ring fingers, I painted the other nail a light blue colour to compliment the blue in the nail wraps.

When you take out nail wraps from the packet this is what they look like.

Move you finger along the side of the sheet and find one the nearest size to your nail, but remember to add a tiny bit more as your nail is curved so it is bigger than it looks.

Carefully remove the nail wrap from the backing paper. Start from the cuticle and place the curved end and press down, slowly move a finger up the nail wrap to push it on down the middle of the nail. then run it down each side of the nail so it is pressed down but always start from the cuticle when pushed down as the bubble can come to the top.

Fold the end down over the end of the nail, pull tight but not to tight, using a nail file, file down at the end so you go through the nail wrap and you can see the nail. then do the same with the other side then will any left in the middle just fold straight down until the end of the nail wrap has come away from the part on the nail.

Push down again to get rid off any ridges.

This is the final result, i really like the look and can be for anytime of year, I hope you understood what I was saying I know it sounds quite confusing but when you actually do it its so simple.
Love you xx
