As I do alot of baking I already had a heart shaped mould tray, however you can buy these from many shops and even online for reasonable prices.
I filled mine with peanut butter M&Ms as these are my parents favourite, you could also use things like jelly beans or popping candy.
Unfortunately I didn't have any decent quality chocolate so I had to use Sainsbury's own basic chocolate which is about 20p a bar so it didn't taste as nice as a chocolate with a better quality.
To help temper the chocolate (add the shine) I placed the mould in the fridge to cool before adding the chocolate.
To melt the chocolate quicker break the chocolate into small pieces.
You can use a saucepan filled with boiling water under a heatproof bowl with the chocolate however I decided to use the microwave.
Heat for 10 second sections until the chocolate has entirely melted, stir between each 10 second section.
Place the chocolate in the mould and place the treat in the middle. you can put more chocolate on top of the treat if you wanted.
Place the mould in the fridge for a few hours to set.
When set ,carefully take the chocolate out of the moulds.
These are so easy and cute, perfect for a young children or even just a little meaningful gift for anyone.
